6 Reasons To Take A Chance Today

Posted on: 4th April 2016

Humans tend to thrive on patterned actions. As they say, old habits die hard. Sometimes, taking a chance seems like the scariest thing in the world. However, it can also be the most productive. Here are six reasons to take a chance today!

1. You’ve got to be in it to win it

So simple, but so true! Whether it's entering a half-marathon, a meat raffle, or a competition, you won't know what's possible unless you actually enter. As they say, you miss 100 per cent of the chances you don't take!

2. You never know what's around the corner

No matter how monotonous our lives can seem sometimes, you never know when opportunity might strike. Maybe next week, next month, or even in the next 10 minutes, a chance could come knocking at your door. Make sure you're there to take it!

3. If it's meant  to be, it's meant to be

Although human beings can't predict the future, we can trust things will unfold how they're meant to, if we just let them. Even the smallest change in routine can bring about the biggest results, and it all starts with taking a chance.

4. It's good to try new things

If we didn't try new things now and again, life would be very boring. Always wanted to go kayaking, but could never find a good enough reason? Just do it. Too scared of trying that weird but delicious-looking menu option? Throw caution to the winds. You never know what you might discover!

5. Keep an open mind

Some of the greatest discoveries in life were made when people just decided to open their eyes. Keeping an open mind and taking a risk will keep you open to new opportunities, both personal and professional. Who knows what you'll discover about yourself?

6. Positive thinking

An oldie but a goldie. Positive thinking is what keeps this ol' world spinning. Although sometimes it may seem impossible, keeping your chin up in times of trouble will alert you to possible solutions, however far off they may seem.
