Visiting Hong Kong should be on everyone’s bucket list. One of the most iconic destinations in the world, the legendary city is bursting with culture, spectacular sights, and amazing things to do. From the thrill rides of Ocean Park to the serenity of Sik Sik Yuen Wong Tai Sin Temple, Hong Kong truly has a little something for people of all ages. Here are our top five things to do!

1. The Peak

One of the most popular attractions in the city, The Peak is something every traveler needs to visit. The highest point on Hong King Island, it has been one of the most exclusive areas in town since colonial times. The spectacular view of sparkling skyscrapers, Victoria Harbour, and the green hills of the New Territories keep tourists coming back again and again. For sublime scenes, food, and fashion, The Peak Tower has a large viewing platform called Sky Terrace 428, as well as dining and retail outlets. An experience not to be missed!

2. Temple Street Night Market

Traders, opera singers, fortune tellers, and more are just the tip of the iceberg when you experience the Temple Street Night Market. The buzzing atmosphere of food, fun, and magic is so intrinsically connected to local culture, it’s actually been used as the backdrop for a number of films. Immerse yourself in trinkets, electronics, tea ware, menswear, watches, jade, and antiques, while devouring clay-pot rice, seafood, noodles, and other exotic dishes.

3. Lan Kwai Fong

As well as its stunning views and illustrious culture, Hong Kong is also known for its fabulous nightlife. Lan Kwai Fong is one of the city’s most dazzling hot spots, and boasts over 90 bars and restaurants. Enjoy everything from wine to jelly shots, and all the spectacular food Hong Kong has to offer.

Because of its notoriety as party destination, the clubs are often filled with celebrities; a perfect opportunity for star spotting. Add to that the many carnivals and other celebrations during holidays such as Halloween, Christmas and New Year, and you have every reason to go!

4. Ladies' Market

Ladies, do I have good news for you. The Ladies Market on Tung Choi Street has pretty much everything you’ve ever dreamed of in retail therapy. Set over a one kilometre strip, it contains over 100 stalls brimming with bargain clothing, souvenirs, watches, cosmetics, bags, home furnishings, CDs, trinkets, and accessories. What are you waiting for? Check it out!

5. The Clock Tower

Constructed in 1915 as part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus, the old Clock Tower was once part of the Kowloon–Canton Railway terminus, and harks back to the Age of Steam. If you want a piece of Hong Kong’s colonial history, feast your eyes on the elegant red brick of this stately Declared Monument!
