The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup Truck

Posted on: 5th December 2013

Chevrolet finally unveiled its shiny new pickup truck. Just recently, it made its debut at the L.A. Auto Show and from the looks of it, nobody’s going to tease it anymore.

The 2015 Chevrolet Colorado has long been out in the overseas market but it has been updated for its rollout in the U.S. market. It certainly looks fresher, sleeker, and more modern than the Nissan Frontier or the Toyota Tacoma. General Motors, in response, would surely release its own truck version of Colorado.

2015 Chevrolet Colorado Pickup TruckColorado has 193 horsepower under its hood combined with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine. It is taller and longer – but narrower – than the Tacoma, which has been reigning as the best seller on this truck category. Expect a standard six-speed automatic transmission from it and you can choose between a rear- and a four-wheel drive.

There are three different body configurations, depending on the needs and expectations of the buyer: a Crew Cab, with a 5-ft. 2-in. bed; a Crew Cab, with the long bed; or, an extended cab model, with a 6-ft. 2-in bed.

The Colorado has similar features you can find from the Silverado such as the standard tailgate and bedside protectors; bumper steps to help you climb at the back more easily; moveable tie-down rings; plus, the tailgate is spring-loaded so you won’t be stressed from lifting heavy objects.

Of course, the insides have to be as impressive as the outside. You got MyLink Bluetooth audio system that is a trademark of Chevrolet, navigation system, and all Internet applications to keep you constantly connected even while on the road.

Do not underestimate this small truck because even if it only has a standard backup camera, its advanced collision mitigation systems is the first to be offered on its division. There is a forward-collision as well as lane-departure warning devices too.

While the old Colorado leaves many owners wanting, this updated one is certainly something to look forward to.
