Posted on: 10th September 2014

Win First PrizeLove to take part in eating contests? You will know that eating to win is not as easy as sounds, nor as much the fun. It takes time, training, the right attitude and few secret moved to get you there. Check out these secrets that veteran food contest winners have learned the hard way – and win your first prize:

  1. Get Into The Right Mood – before you start, focus on fixing a positive attitude. Say a prayer, meditate for 20-30 minutes if you can, jump up and down for a couple of time – anything to make you feel good about the contest and about yourself. Do not underestimate the power of positive attitude; sometimes it is all the difference between the loser and the winner.

  1. To Win You Need To Eat Fastest In The First 20 Minutes – it takes your body about 20 minutes to realize it is full, and when it gets that signal your capacity to eat food lessens dramatically. Hence, if you want to win, you need to eat as much as possible in those 20 minutes before your body finds it is full. After 20 minutes you can eat slower and slower, but if you managed to eat the most in the beginning, you will stay in the lead.

  1. Drink Something, But Drink In Moderation – you will have to drink something every now and then to make it easier to swallow and keep it down. You will have to be very careful that you do not overdo with the drinking bit. It is very tempting to drink a little more than necessary and if you give in to the temptation, you will find that you too soon too full to eat anymore. Hence, the secret to winning is to drink just the barest minimum necessary to get the saliva going; just the barest minimum.

  1. Stay Cool No Matter What – do not stress out when you find that you are slowing down. After the first 20 minutes of the eating contest, you will find that you are unable to eat fast no matter how much you try. DO not worry, no one else can either. It is important that you stay cool when you find out that you are slowing down. Stress will incapacitate your ability to eat further; hence, if you want to win, keep your mind cool and focused on the winning.
