Stuck for a quirky Christmas present that is interesting, global and eco friendly?
Why not give your family member/friend their own slice of the Keltic good life, thereby giving them the title Laird (a Scottish word that translates into English as “Lord” or “Lady”).
Highland Titles allows customers to purchase a souvenir plot of land on a Scottish Highland estate which legally allows owners to use the courtesy title of Laird (landowner, lord or lady).
Plot sizes range from one to 100 square feet while prices start from $50.
The titles are firmly tongue in cheek and a novelty gift with some money from each sale going towards important conservation work, helping preserve Scotland’s wilderness.
Scotland’s official tourist board, Visit Scotland has awarded The Highland Titles Nature Reserve 3 out of 5 stars as a tourist attraction. In 2013, more than 6,000 land owners visited their plots of land to see the conservation work being done.
Your prize includes:
Presentation Gift Box
100 square feet of land in Lochaber
Tree planted in your honour
Lifetime Camping Access to Keil Hill
Clan Map Wall Poster
Free 1sq ft plot of land in Glencoe Wood
DVD Tour of the Area
Style yourself as Laird, Lord or Lady
